        Idi Amin named Idi Amin Dada Oumee has been known to have killed 300,000 to 500,000 people.

Born in a village in called Koboko, near Arua in the northwest corner of Uganda. Amin is a heavyweight boxing champion of Uganda. Milton Obote becomes the first Prime Minister after its independence from Britain on 1962. Amin becomes a major in 1963 and deputy commander of the army and air force in 1964.

In 1971 Amin in a coup captures the power when Obote is out of the country. After taking power he orders mass executions of officers and troops believed to support Obote. In 1972 Amin expels nearly 40,000-80,000 Asians (mostly Indians) out of the country.

He starts killing his rivals and Obote supporters. The toll reaches nearly 3 million. He breaks the relationship with Britain, US and Israel. He get support from Libya. The economy of Uganda crumbles. His attack on Tanzania backfires and he flees to Libya after losing the war on October 1978. He dies on 16 August, 2003 in Exile in Saudi Arabia.
