        Atal Bihari Vajpayee Former prime minister of India,briefly in 1996, and again from March 19, 1998 until May 19, 2004. He is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian politics in general. Atalji has served as a member of the Parliament of India for nearly 50 years. Vajpayee is also a poet and had written many poems. India become a nuclear nation by testing Atom bomb in Pokhran while Vajpayee was prime minister. Vajpayee introduced many important economic and infrastructural reforms domestically including, encouraging the private sector and foreign investements; reducing governmental waste; encouraging research and development and privatizing of government owned corporations.
