        Coimbatore - a great city to live in. Coimbatore is situated in Tamil Nadu in South India. It is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu in terms of population, area and revenue, next only to Chennai. Coimbatore is the headquarters of the districts in Tamil Nadu.

Textile industry is one of the main industries of coimbatore. Coimbatore is also called as "The Manchester of South India". The other industries are mechanical, gold design.

The place belongs to Kongu Nadu, and nativites are also called as the kongu people. Coimbatore is the second highly populated city next only to chennai in tamil nadu. The people here belong to various castes, and languages. People of different origin are settled here in coimbatore. So, Coimbatore is also a cosmopolitan city, next to Bangalore and Chennai in South India.

Coimbatore is also famous for its climatic conditions. The weather around the year here is a pleasant one. Average maximum temperature in summer is around 34.7 degrees celcius, and minimum is around 22.1 degrees celcius. The average maximum temperature in winter is 32.2 around degrees celcius, minimum is around 19.2 degrees celcius.

Geographically, Coimbatore is situated at an altitude of 409 metres above sea level. The city experiences moderate summers and mild winters. During the month of May, the city experiences temperatures around 30 to 32 degrees celcius, while most of the places in tamil nadu experiences around 40 degrees celcius. The city is also famous for its educational institutions and the quality of education believed to good.
